How do I schedule an interpreter?
Scheduling an interpreter is simple and convenient. If this is your first time requesting an interpreter through ILS please contact us by telephone. Once you have established a working relationship with us there are several ways to request interpreting services.You may call our office at 206-709-7777 to schedule an interpreter by phone, or send a fax to 206-835-6000 or an email to contact@interpretforyou.com.
Is there a difference between interpretation and translation?
Yes. There is a difference. Interpretation is the simultaneous and/or consecutive oral triadic communicationbetween interpreter and two other parties who use different languages.The goal is to create a seamless communication process as if the two other parties are speaking directly to one another. Translation is the conversion of source texts in one language into target texts written in another language, with the meaning and intent of the original source text. These documents are then authenticated with a certificate of translation.
Are interpreters trained?
Yes. All interpreters are trained, certified and have extensive experience providing accurate interpreting services. They strive to continually develop their skills and knowledge through continuing education and interaction with colleagues in related fields. They are culturally competent, sensitive and respectful of the individual(s) they serve. They are held to the highest industry standards for code of ethics and confidentiality while maintaining in compliance with all ILS standards.

Do you provide 24 hours interpreting?
Yes. ILS is accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Our call center office is open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Pacific Standard Time. Our call center staff is available to schedule your request for an interpreter within the hour, next day, next month or further future scheduling. If you have an urgent request outside of our call center operating hours; the after hours number will connect you with the ILS after hours staff.

Yes. ILS has a reputation for quickly handling last minute requests. With our extensive list of interpreters, we can contact the language professional and provide a quick response time for both interpreters and translators.
